Computers
For most of the private information that we do not want anyone to tamper with, we always make sure that we protect it. One can protect it by keeping it somewhere no one can ever reach it or if you are using a computer you make sure that you put a pass code that no one will ever guess it right. There are some devices that when accessing them, one has to provide a wep key so that they can be allowed to continue. The wired equivalent privacy key is a security key that allows one to get the access of the wireless router. Anyone without the wep key then they will not be able to surf the net using their router. It protects the transmission of the packets data in the wireless network, Select the security setting from your wireless software and then put down your password wep key and then go to the wireless connections option and scroll down till you find your router name and click on the settings. Write down the wep key and then close. You can now surf the net but only with the devices that have the wep key installed.
